
Matthew Szot
Matthew K. Szot has served as Chair of the Board of Directors of SenesTech since May 2026 and has served on the Board since December 2015. He is an accomplished public company executive and board leader with more than 25 years of executive leadership and public company experience in finance, capital markets, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives. Since September 2020, Mr. Szot has served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audit Committee of INVO Fertility, Inc. (Nasdaq: IVF), a healthcare services fertility company. Mr. Szot previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Cadrenal Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CVKD), a late-stage biopharmaceutical company, from May 2022 to May 2026. Prior to Cadrenal, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of S&W Seed Company (Nasdaq: SANW), an agricultural biotechnology company, from 2010 to 2021. Throughout his career, Mr. Szot has led two Nasdaq initial public offerings, raised more than $400 million in equity and debt financings, and completed numerous strategic acquisitions, divestitures, and licensing transactions. His expertise includes corporate finance, capital markets, SEC reporting, investor relations, corporate governance, and strategic transactions. Mr. Szot previously served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audit Committee of Eastside Distilling, Inc. (Nasdaq: EAST). Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Cardiff Partners, LLC, providing executive financial leadership to publicly traded and privately held companies, Chief Financial Officer of Rip Curl, Inc., and Audit Manager with KPMG LLP, where he worked with numerous publicly traded companies. Mr. Szot earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics/Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.
